JY Design, based in Urbandale, IA primarily works with homeowners and business owners on interior and exterior design projects in central Iowa. Julie Youngblade has been in the interior design field since 2004 and opened JY Design in 2009. With a BA in Design, her passion is problem solving and crafting great design that matches up with the sensibility of the client's design style. Whether a new construction, remodel, or just a room re-fresh, JY Design is about creating comfortable spaces and lasting value. In May of 2015, we opened a showroom in Urbandale, The Design Place, and by appointment, will work with clients to create beautiful furnishings and selections.

Shelby Silvers joined the JY Design team as an Interior Designer, April of 2019. Shelby has a degree in Interior Design from Iowa State University and is based in West Des Moines, IA. She has a passion for helping clients transform a space into something unique and inspiring. Honing in on every detail of a design and piecing together every element, Shelby believes a space should beautiful and functional. In her free time Shelby loves being outdoors, camping, and spending time with loved ones, especially her dog, Hoosier.
